We were quite excited when Kansa freshened with a set of twins from our first AI breeding! Kia is extremely long, dairy and very correct!
We are extremely pleased with our beautiful AI girl! Her littermate, Kamikaze, is being retained as our new herdsire!
Kia has been confirmed bred to Goose for an April kidding.

Kori-Brook WFG Honey Bee
DOB: 3/12/2011
As we evaluated our 2011 kids, something about Honey stood out to Josh. She is a pretty little doe kid, and as a Goose daughter we have high hopes for a pretty udder to fill her high, wide escutcheon.
Honey has been 1xJCH (shown 4 times)
Honey has been confirmed bred to Kamikaze for a late March kidding.

A result of a very close line breeding, we initially had no intention of keeping this doe kid. Once we saw Kaya's mammary system, we started to reconsider selling Kizashi.
When Kizashi became lame at 6 weeks of age, a decision had to be made. After multiple radiographs, joint taps, cultures, and even a consult with an orthopedic specialist, my initial diagnosis of a septic joint was confirmed. Our option was euthanize or aggressive treatment in hopes of clearing the infection and saving the joint. I, honestly, had little hope that we would save her, but neither Josh or I could give up on her. Many injections & medications later, Kizashi is 100% sound on her leg and has finally caught up with her herdmates. She will be left dry for 2011.

As we downsized the herd in the spring this year, several tough decisions were made -- including the decision to sell India. (I never thought I'd cry over selling an Alpine!) We decided to keep her doe kid in her place as we are certain that the crossing of India with Goose will be a success! April is a bit more refined than most of our Goose daughters. But as a genetic full sister to Kaya, we are excited to see her remain in our herd!
